1 table top easel
1 roll masking tape
paper to paint on for studies, either the pads of painting paper or Index Paper, also called card stock. This is great for practice paintings.
1 three ring binder/notebook paper for notes. You will also put your practice paintings in this notebook along with the assignments I give you. It would be a good idea to buy a three hole punch, so that you can insert things into the binder.
1 palette
I use office page protectors for a palette. I put a piece of stiff paper inside and do my mixing on the plastic. Then I flip it over to use the other side. Then I toss them and use a fresh one with the same paper I inserted in the first one. No palette cleaning ever. For acrylic painters, I keep the palette in a stay wet box.
1 roll of paper towels
Various canvases or panels to paint. You pick the sizes, some will need to be 4x6 to 5x7 inches for quick paintings.
Container for water or solvent
1 spray mist bottle with water for acrylic painters
