I have devoted a lifetime to the study of painting. My work depicts the beauty and culture of the South and the experience of living in Florida. When you look at my paintings you are transported to the nature and beauty of wild and undeveloped Florida.

Unlike most painters, I offer no copies or reproductions of my work. No fake paintings sprayed on canvas or paper. My motto has always been "original affordable art". Discerning collectors feel secure in knowing that they own the only one!! Original art offers the texture and richness that makes a painting beautiful, created by the artist's own hand and process.
I have become an environmentally conscious artist. I changed my framing to eco-friendly frames. They have a veneer of wood over recycled wood products. They are beautiful and much kinder to the environment I want to protect. I support two land trust organizations in Florida so I am serious about saving the beautiful trees and fields that I love.
3. How Can You Help Me?
I offer free shipping for all of my paintings.
I can deliver to Lake City, Ocala and Gainesville.
I offer installation advice and recommend the best framers in your area for custom framing.
I will help you select the best painting for your needs from my body of work.
I have a very easy and painless layaway program. You may keep your own schedule of payments and amount to pay for each payment. You have one year to pay for the painting. It hangs on the stairwell of my studio so you can visit it any time you like.
4. Why are your paintings unique?
My paintings come from the soul of a Florida Cracker. I was born and raised in Florida and love it passionately. I have a vision based upon my love for my subject and this translates to a unique view for owners of my paintings. They are purchasng my passion and memories of a childhood raised in the south, an appreciation of its nature and culture that only a native painter can recreate on canvas.
5. What can you tell me briefly about your work?
Most of my large paintings are built from many small studies I do in the field during the Fall to Spring months of the year. I use these little studies in values, color and composition to create large paintings in the studio. I have studied the Southern landscape on location for many years in Alabama, Florida, Georgia and North Carolina. I spend my summer painting in my cozy studio away from the heat and bugs, emerging when Fall colors return.

I also participate in temporary residencies for 7 to 10 days in various locations, including New Smyrna Beach, Bird Island, Crescent Beach and St Augustine.
