These small paintings bring me great joy and learning as an artist. I consider these paintings as experiments and learning tools for my larger, more complex paintings. These paintings give me insight into composing, color mixing and values of painting. I often do one of these paintings as preparation for a large complex painting. They are my learning laboratory. Some are painted on wood panels with casein paints. They are strong and light weight. Casein produces lovely color. The panels are prepared first to receive any medium and these are archival paintings. Others are oil on archival canvas panels.
Subjects include trees, farm fields, flowers, vegetables, birds, and natural subjects. These small paintings come with their own tiny black easels and will sit on your desk, shelf or table to enjoy. They make marvelous small gifts and fit in any space. A wonderful way to start a collection of original art for a friend or yourself.
Thank you Linda Blondheim for this perfectly charming orange tree painting and presentation! I love it! It will give me endless “Calgon moments” where I will be taken away to the orange grove. Rachel Gibas- California
